She worked as an extern at the Henley Park Hotel, where she eventually rose to the position of sous chef. In 1999, Hall held the position of executive chef at the Garden Cafe, a subsidiary restaurant within the State Plaza restaurant. After that, she worked as the executive chef at the Washington Club, a private social club.

Hall subsequently worked as a model on the Paris, Milan, and London runways for several years. During this time, she decided to pursue a career in cooking.
