On February 7, 2019, in a three-team trade, he was moved to the Houston Rockets. Shumpert signed a contract with the Brooklyn Nets on November 13, 2019. When Wilson Chandler's ban ended in 2019, the Nets dismissed Iman. Iman Shumpert retirement from the NBA was announced in 2021.
