AJ Style Early Life
Mariners Base Camp Lejeune is located in Jacksonville, North Carolina. At that location, Allen Neal Jones was born on June 2, 1977. When he was a child, his drinking father made life difficult for him. Jones' family was so impoverished that they couldn't afford cable TV, so he couldn't do what he enjoyed as a child: watch professional wrestling.
He attended Johnson High School in Gainesville, Georgia, from 1996 to 1997. Jones competed in amateur wrestling while still in high school, winning two state championships. Jones then received a scholarship at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina, where he plans to study body education and fight.
Then, some friends approached him about joining a professional wrestling team. He enrolled in a professional wrestling school to participate in the fun and discover if he had what it took. To earn money, he drove an ambulance and mowed grass.

When he joined WCW in 2001, he was immediately placed on a tag team with Air Paris. Over the next few years, Style worked for companies like All Pro Wrestling, Xcitement Wrestling Federation, World Wrestling All-Stars, the East Coast Wrestling Association, and Frontier Wrestling Alliance.

After his time as manager was over, Style tried but failed to challenge Samoa Joe for the ROH World Championship. He still won the first-ever ROH Pure Champion title, though. Not long after, Style fought with Jimmy Rave and the Embassy group.
