Years later, Lawler played himself in the Kaufman movie Man on the Moon. This movie revealed that Lawler and Kaufman had faked their fight.

Michael Cole Vs Jerry Lawler

Lawler challenged Cole to a match at WrestleMania XXVII because he was fed up with his attitude. Cole agreed to the February 28 Raw and declared that Jack Swagger would train him over the next few weeks. Stone Cold Steve Austin was revealed as the game's guest referee the next week.
