Adam Sandler Decked in a Classic Tuxedo at ‘SNL 50’

Today's news is about the star-studded SNL 50th celebrations where comedian Adam Sandler grabbed attention as he appeared on the red carpet decked up in a classic tuxedo. It was a rare moment for Adam Sandler to show up against his casual looks.

Rare Sight: Adam Sandler Dressed Up for 'SNL 50'

Comedian Adam Sandler went against his casual looks as he appeared in a classic tuxedo on the "SNL 50: The Anniversary Special" red carpet. Adam Sandler is known for his baggy pants, casual sweatshirt looks at formal red-carpet events instead of crisp and sharp tuxedo style.

Many times he has appeared at red carpet events in brightly coloured sneakers, baggy pants, and printed shirts, whereas his fellows dressed up in red-carpet-appropriate outfits. This time he surprised all of them by wearing a tuxedo.

Adam Sandler Feeling Terrible Wearing a Tux

Adam Sandler vocalised his thoughts on wearing a tux during his chat session on SNL 50 red carpet.

“It’s a terrible feeling,” the star told Variety of the outfit.

Why He Chose a Tux for SNL?

It was an exceptional moment seeing Adam Sandler wearing a Tux. When he was asked about wearing a tux, he said,

“Al Franken saw me in a sweatshirt last night and he was like, ‘What are you doing?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, I don’t wanna let Al down.’ So I put a tux on.”

Sandler Fellow's Reactions

Sandler wore a tuxedo on the SNL 50 red carpet and showered with a variety of reactions from his fellows. He was praised for his casual red carpet looks, and this time everybody liked the black tie look of Adam Sandler. In 2021, he was the most Googled in the “celebrity outfit” category, ahead of others like Britney Spears (#2) or Harry Styles (#6).

Amy Schumer teased Sandler about his look stating, “You look handsome. No, you look very handsome… “Yeah, a tailor would have been … you know. Anyway.”

Jennifer Aniston also previously roasted Sandler's outfit at the "Murder Mystery 2" premiere where she was dressed in a netted Versace minidress. She blurted out on Sandler’s look of a Knicks sweatshirt from Todd Snyder over a Hawaiian shirt, paired with khakis and blue sneakers by saying, “What the hell are you doing?!” Aniston, 54, exclaimed when she saw him at the event. “I’m not standing next to him!”

Sandler's Tribute to Fellow SNL Cast Members

During the celebration, Sandler paid tribute to his fellow former "SNL" cast members, including Chris Farley, in a touching song titled "50 Years." The song and lyrics captured the hearts of everyone present there and proved a memorial for the show’s history as well as moments from Sandler’s run, which spanned from 1991 to 1995.
