One of the wealthiest neighbourhoods in the country has been destroyed by the largest wildfire in Los Angeles, which has destroyed the Pacific Palisades region for almost a week. Some of the most costly properties in the nation can be found in this northern Los Angeles area, which lies between Santa Monica and Malibu. The average price of a home is approximately $4.5 million.
Since last Tuesday, a minor fire in the neighbourhood has spread to cover thousands of acres, forcing many people to evacuate. Much of it has been on fire. By Sunday night, the Palisades Fire had burnt over 24,000 acres and was moving east towards Brentwood and Encino. Cal Fire said it was a 14% limitation.
