He attended Hill House School in West London for three years. Later, he attended Cheam Preparatory, an English school in Berkshire. Prince's father also attended the same school during his student years. After high school, he pursued his passion for history, anthropology, and archaeology at Trinity College, Cambridge. In 1970, he earned his BA degree. He chose to pursue his Welsh studies at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He attended Cambridge for his Master of Arts.

Due to increasing Welsh nationalism, Charles, the Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester had his coronation on July 1, 1969, in a televised ceremony at Caernarfon Castle. In 1981, Charles ventured to the United States to expand his involvement in government affairs following the establishment of the Prince's Trust in 1976.

Military training and career

Charles had the opportunity to serve in both the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force (RAF). In August 1971, he earned his Royal Air Force wings after completing his training in the Royal Air Force during his second year at Cambridge. He learned how to fly the Chipmunk with the help of the Cambridge University Air Squadron.

Following the passing-out parade in September, Charles embarked on his journey in the Navy. He attended the Royal Naval College Dartmouth for 6 weeks. Charles's active duty in the Navy started on February 9, 1976, and lasted for ten months. 

 In 1978, he had the opportunity to participate in a parachute training school at RAF Brize Norton. This experience came two years after he was appointed as the colonel-in-chief of the Parachute Regiment.

Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.
