Early Life

Dustin Hunter Johnson was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on June 22, 1984. Dustin Hunter Johnson studied in sports management while playing collegiate golf at Coastal Carolina University. He was on the winning Walker Cup and Palmer Cup teams in 2007 as an amateur, having won the 2007 Monroe Invitational and the Northeast Amateur.

Johnson began playing professionally in late 2007 and qualified for the 2008 PGA Tour in December by placing in a tie for 14th place at the 2007 certifying school.

Professional Career

Johnson won the Turning Stone Resort Championship in New York in October 2008, his first PGA Tour tournament. He captured his second tournament victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am four months later. The game had been reduced to 54 holes after a final round cancellation brought on by high waves and rain.

It created some noise when Dustin upset former world champion David Duval in 2010 to win his AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am championship. Johnson recovered with a victory at the BMW Championship at Cog Hill following a string of poor finishes at the PGA Championship and the 2010 US Open. Dustin rose to the fourth spot on the PGA Tour money list by the end of the 2010 season.

Johnson started the 2013 season on a high note by winning the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, a competition that was only open to previous season winners. Johnson defeated the last champion, Steve Stricker, by four strokes in an event that was cut to 54 holes because of difficult conditions, mostly caused by extremely strong winds.

In February, Johnson made a comeback to the tour at the Farmers Insurance Open. He was off by one stroke on the cut. He finished in the top five in both of the following two events he participated in at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, where he tied for fourth.

On 31 May 2022, Johnson was confirmed to compete in the first-ever LIV Golf Invitational Series event, which is being sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.

Real Estates

In 2015, Johnson paid $4.95 million for a Palm Beach Gardens, Florida home. The 8,000-square-foot property is situated approximately 80 miles north of Miami and has a dock that leads to a small, extremely secluded island. In 2016, Dustin made a $3.825 million profit on the sale of a North Palm Beach property. There is a wine cellar, spa, and pool at the house. Its nearly 4,500 square feet of living area is another attraction.

In 2017, Johnson purchased a second piece of real estate in Florida, this time in the North Palm Beach neighbourhood of Harbor Isle. He paid $2.9 for the house, which was a pretty excellent deal given that it was listed for $4.5 million when it first went up for sale in 2015.
