Biles was born in Columbus, Ohio, on March 14, 1997. She's the third of four children. Simone's birth mother, Shanon Biles, was unable to raise her and her three other children. Four of them were in foster care at one point.

Nana Biles and Ron Biles' second wife, Nellie Cayetano Biles, took over Shanon's children in 2000 after learning that his grandkids were in foster care in Spring, Texas, a Houston neighborhood.
