  1. Adidas

Agassi briefly parted ways with Nike before signing a contract with Adidas in 2005. This agreement represented an important change because he had spent most of his career closely linked with Nike.

  1. Head

For much of his career, Agassi was an official Head tennis racquet supporter. His racquet selection was key to his style of play, and his support helped make the brand more well-known to players of all skill levels.

Former Tiburon Mansion

Andre and Steffi Graf purchased an expansive mansion in the upscale Marin County hamlet of Tiburon in 2001 for $23 million. A 10,500-square-foot mansion, a 2,500-square-foot guest house, two swimming pools, three spas, a hot tub, a cold plunge, a stream, and a hydrotherapy waterfall were among the facilities of the 3.5-acre property.

At first, the Agassi/Graf put the house up for $24.5 million. In January 2007, they took $20 million, a $3 million loss. Stuart Peterson, an investment fund manager, was the buyer. Stuart manages Artist Capital, a hedge fund.

Biography and Personal Life

Following her relationship with Wendi Stewart in the early 1990s, Agassi went on to date American singer and performer Barbra Streisand. In his 2009 book, he discussed the relationship, writing, "We both feel good for each other, so what if she's twenty-eight years older?

We shared feelings, and the public storm only strengthened our bond. Our friendship feels limited and taboo, adding to my general disrespect. It's like wearing hot lava when you date Barbra Streisand."

Autobiography

November 2009 saw the release of Agassi's autobiography, Open: An Autobiography, which was written with help from J. R. Moeringer. In it, Agassi discusses his early years and his unique Armenian father, a professional boxer from Iran who moved to the US.

The book received positive reviews and peaked at number one on the New York Times Best Seller list. 193 It also won the 2010 British Sports Book Awards Autobiography category. Agassi vs. Sampras

Since Sampras and Agassi were the most successful players of the 1990s, their rivalry has been dubbed the greatest of the generation of players competing in that decade. Their playing styles were so different that, at the time, Sampras was regarded as the best server and Agassi as the best returner of serves. Agassi scored 14–20 in their 34 matches at the tour level with Sampras.

Agassi vs. Chang

Except for Sampras, Agassi's most regular opponent was Michael Chang. On the tour, Agassi won 15–7 of their 22 meetings. Chang shared Agassi's style of play, which is in contrast to most of his main enemies. Chang was more defensive-minded than the other player, although both liked to stay at the baseline.
